China didn't undergo widespread industrialization because it went against their Confucian beliefs and the Chinese viewed agriculture as more ideal. What did Christian missionaries bring to China? This is why Greet Britian moved toward industrialization but china did not China didn't experience the revolution and didn't support oversea expansion and trading. Great Britain moved towards industrialization because they had advantages already placed in the forefront such as access to coal and iron and a well developed market.
