Answer: 3/4

Explanation:

Amount of chicken ordered = 3

Fraction eaten by Alex = 5/8

Fraction eaten by Chase = 7/8

Fraction eaten by Ella = 6/8

The chicken ate by the three friends will be:

= 5/8 + 7/8 + 6/8

= 18/8

= 2 2/8

= 2 1/4

Now, the chicken left for the forty friend will be:

= 3 - 2 1/4

= 3/4
