A pipeline is placed diagonally across a rectangular field that is 25yd wide and 30yd long. How long is the pipeline, to the nearest yard?

the pipe is 39.1 yards long.

Explanation:

you would use pythagorean theorem (a²+b²=c²). plug the 25 in to the a² and plug the 30 in to the b² and figure out c² (it would look something like this 25²+30²=c²). to do that you need to square the 25² and the 30². the 25² would turn out to be 625 and the 30² would be 900 you would add them and get 1525. then you would squareroot 1525(

) and get 39.05 and round it up and get 39.1 yards. dont forget to put the mesurements down
