Explanation:

The surface area = area of the middle 4 rectangles + 2 * curved area + 4 * the semi-circles

= 2*4*6 + 2 *3*6 + 2 * π*2*3 + 4 * 1/2* π 2^2

= 84 + 12π + 8π

= 84 + 20π

= 146.83.
