ABCD is a rhombus. If AB= 4x+3 and BC= 9x-27, what is the value of x?

4x+3=9x-27 (definition of a rhombus - all sides are congruent)
30=5x (subtraction and addition properties of equality)
x=6 (division property of equality)

Therefore, the value of x is 6.
