Explanation:

Starting with x, you can see that it is in a corner where two lines cross each other. That means that x is equal to the angle on the other side of that intersection, which we are given. x then, is equal to 49°

And with y, You'll notice that is formed with two lines, a horizontal one and and a diagonal one. At he bottom of the shape you can see another horizontal one intersecting with the same diagonal one. Notice also that the two lines use the ">" symbol, noting that the lines are parallel. Because those lines are parallel, the angles between each of those and the diagonal one are the same. This tells us that y is equal to 63°
