Explanation:

-30+9x=-0.5 |x-1| -2

from the graph, we can see that both curves intersect at (3,-3)⇒x=3

put x=3 in LHS&RHS

⇒LHS=-30+9(3)=-3

RHS=-0.5 |3-1|-2=

-1/2×2-2=-1-2=-3

so the answer will be 3..
