Adolf Hitler, who was the leader of Germany during this time, had always argued that Germans were superior to essentially everybody else. More specifically, this "Aryan race" which they believed to be the "master race." Aryan people, in Hitler's eyes, had fair skin, blonde hair, and blue eyes.
