If Joel drove 300 miles in 300 minutes an Charles drove 450 miles in 6 hours, you would take 300 minutes and divide it by 60 to get 5 which means Joel drove 300 miles in 5 hours, which means Charles would have had to have been driving faster than Joel, but how much faster? well you take the numbers and you divide and multiply to get 12, Charles was driving 12 miles faster than Joel.
