For the symbol that you put in you equation (3 - 5i) + (2 - 5i), this equals 5 - 10i

For dividing both of the expressions, (3 - 5i) / (2 - 5i) = 31/29 + 5i/29

So if you were actually adding them use the first answer, if you were dividing them and used the wrong symbol in the question, use the second answer.
