Sin is equal to opposite over hypotenuse
With this we know that
Opposite = sqrt(12)
Hypotenuse = 4
To find adjacent we need to use the Pythagorean theorem
12 + adj^2 = 4^2
We then solve for adj
12 + adj^2 =16
adj^2 =4
adj =2
Now that we have opposite, adjacent, and hypotenuse, we can find cos and tan
Cos is equal to adj/hypotenuse
Cos = 2/4 = 1/2
Tan is equal to opp/adj
Tan = sqrt(12)/2
