The rest of the side where the 8 is would 20 (28-8)

Set up proportions:

8/10 = 20/3x-5

Cross multiply

200 = 24x-40

Add 40 to both sides

240 = 24x

Divide both sides by 24

X = 10

Solve for the equation: 3x-5 = 3(10)-5 = 30-5 = 25
