In a hydraulic Press, the surface area of the Pistons is 6.0 x 10 m² and 2.0 x 10 m² respectively. If a

force of 30N is applied downwards on the smaller piston, with what force does the large piston move
upwards?

Answer:

90N

Step-by-step explanation:

2.0x10m^2=20m^2

smaller piston has surface area of 20m^2

pressure=f/a=30/20=1.5N/m^2

6x10m^2=60m^2

on both pistons pressure will be same hence:

x/60=1.5

x=60x1.5

x=90N
