The ratio of blue tiles (9) to total tiles (25) is 9/25 or 9:25.

I converted 9/25 to a decimal by dividing 9 by 25, which = 0.36

To figure out the percentage, you multiply 0.36 by 100, which = 36 (multiplying by 100 = moving the decimal point 2 places to the right)
