The sum of the measures of the interior angles of a triangle are 180 degrees. In a given triangle, the measure of the second angle is twice the measure of the first. The measure of the third angle is 30 degrees less than the sum of the measures of the first two angles. Find the measure of each angle.

Explanation:

x = first angle

second angle = 2x

third angle = x + 2x - 30

x + 2x + x + 2x - 30 = 180

6x - 30 = 180

6x = 210

x = 210/6 = 35

the first angle = 35°

the second angle = 2×35 = 70°

the third angle = 35 + 70 - 30 = 75°
