Answer:

This is simply my opinion, im putting it in the explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Karl Marx's idea that religion is the opium of the people can be looked at as how he sees religion as a sort of medicine for mankind. Though this is theoretically correct for a large percentage of the world, especially within those who practice religion, it should not be taken as the only viable way to look at things. I can say that humans in their nature are greedy, selfish, and in some cases evil, so it isn't hard to predict that not everyone will open their hearts to religion and accept what it stands for. Religion should not be looked at as the cure for all that is bad because it isn't up to faith, it's up to us. There is a difference between righting wrongs yourself and believing that god will get you through. He is right however in this idea, when it refers to the human race having a bit more heart or soul so that we can all better ourselves, but not necessarily through religion. If we were to all open ourselves up more and show our vulnerabilites, the world would progress. So, what I am trying to say is that I agree with the fact that we as people need to be kind and have soul and fight not to let ourselves succumb to immoral doings. I do not however believe that religion is the only way or the 'opium' of the people. It can be for individuals who decide but many people work in many ways. That is what I can say about Marx's idea.
