(1) A(5,-4) andB(-7, -12)

To find the slope u can either use rise over run but because you have two points you can just use the slope formula which is y2-y1 over x2-x1

You would have -12-(-4) over -7-5 and then you would solve

-12-(-4) is -8. -7-5 is -12. So your rate of change or slope is -8/-12. You can simplify it by dividing both numbers by 4 and you'd get -2/-3

For the mid-point part the x midpoint would be -1 and the y midpoint would be -8

I used a calculator ( some type of graphing one) to find the midpoints
