A) (x+1)(x-3)

B) 3x / x^2 - 2x - 3

or (3x ÷ x^2 - 2x - 3)

Explanation:


(2x-1)/(x^2-2x-3) +
(1)/(x-3)

=
(2x-1)/((x-3)(x+1)) +
(1)/(x-3)

multiply the numerator/ denominator of 2nd fraction by (x + 1)

=
(2x-1)/((x-3)(x+1)) +
(x+1)/((x-3)(x+1))

add the numerators , leaving the common denominator

=
(2x-1+x+1)/((x-3)(x+1))

=
(3x)/((x-3)(x+1))
