Explanation:

-8x + 3y = -33

y = -5x +35

-8x + 3(-5x + 35) = -33

-8x - 15x + 105 = -33

-23x + 105 = -33

-23x = -138

x = 6

-8(6) + 3y = -33

-48 + 3y = -33

3y = 15

y = 5
