  1. first find the hypotenuse of the first right angles triangle a^2+b^2=c^2. 4^2+3^2=squareroot 25 (5)
  2. that 5 is the height of the second right angled triangle thus c^2-a^2=b^2. 9^2-5^2= 56 (squareroot is 7.48)
  3. round off 7.48 to the nearest tenth which is 7.5 since the hundredths value is more than 5
  4. hence answer is 7.5
