To find the rate of change you use your slope formula which is y2-y1 over x2-x1.

You'd set your equation and you'd get 4-2 over 20-10. You solve and you get 2/10 and because it isn't one of the answer choices you have to simplify it. To simplify it you find the common number they both share and they both share 2 so you divide both by 2. 2 divided by 2 is 1 and 10 divide by 2 is 5. So then the rate of change or slope is 1/5.
