It's a huge difference. Race is where you are from, while bias is treating people differently based on a specific characteristic that they have, whether thats gender, race, or really anything else. Bias isn't always a bad thing though, it can mean having a favorite. For example, some journalists are biased for some sports teams, just because they are fans of that team. Race by itself just means where you are from.
