Explanation:

Okay, so we have to find the area of all the shapes that make up the prism:

I'm going to start with the side rectangles:

5 x 7 = 35

There's 2 of them so:

35 x 2 = 70

Now let's go onto the side triangles:

4 x 6 = 24 (normally it would then be ÷ 2, but because there's 2 triangles, you don't have to do that)

Then we do the bottom rectangle:

6 x 7 = 42

So, adding them all together:

35 + 70 + 24 + 42 = 171

So the surface area of the prism is 171 m
