Answer:

0.18 cm²

Explanation:

Given that a rectangle and a triangle have same perimeter . The sides of them are ,

\begin{cases} Square = 4cm , 4cm , 3cm \ and \ 3cm .\\ Triangle = 4cm , 5.8cm \ and \ 4.2cm \end{cases}

We know that area of rectangle is product of length and breadth.

\implies Area = length * breadth \\\\\implies Area = 4cm * 3cm\\\\\implies \red{ Area = 12cm^2}

Also we know that the area of triange is half the product of base and height . So that ,

\implies Area = (1)/(2)* 5.8cm * 4.2 cm \\\\\implies \red{ Area = 12.18 cm^2 }

Therefore the difference between them is ,

\implies D = A_1 - A_1 \\\\\implies D = 12.18cm^2-12cm^2 \\\\\implies \red{D = 0.18 cm^2}
