Since it’s a right triangle, use Pythagorean theorem
a^2 + b^2 = c^2
a = 1, b = 2, c = missing side

1^2 + 2^2 = c^2
1 + 4 = c^2
c^2 = 5, c = square root of 5

Solution: c = 2.2
