Given:

  • Money needed to buy new jacket = $225
  • Money he already has $54
  • He earns per hour = $9

\\ \\

To find:-

  • Total hours Milo need to work for his dad

\\ \\

Let :

  • Total hours Milo need to work for his dad be x

\\ \\

Solution:

So as we know he already has $54

  • Actual Money needed = Money needed to buy new jacket – Money he already has

  • Actual Money needed =$225 - $54

  • Actual Money needed = $171

Equation formed to find value of x :-

\leadsto \sf9x = 171

\\

\leadsto \sf x = (171)/(9)

\\ \\

\leadsto \sf x = (3 * 3 * 19)/(9)

\\ \\

\leadsto \sf x = ( \cancel3 * 3 * 19)/( \cancel9)

\\ \\

\leadsto \sf x = ( \cancel3 * 19)/( \cancel3)

\\ \\

\leadsto \bf x = 19

\\ \\

\therefore \underline {\textsf{\textbf{No. of hours required is equal to\red{ 19 hours}}}}
