Recognition memory you still have the ability to identify a familiar situation that you encountered previously. Temporal memory you only have the ability to hold information in your mind for seconds to minutes once the present moment has passed (this is if it’s short term). Long term you have the ability to hold information for days, weeks, or your whole life.
