Explanation:

Point-slope form is written in the form:

(y - y) = m (x - x)

Where the two y's and two x's are from the points, and m is the slope. To write the equation, you'd plug your points into the equation and solve for m, the slope.

(1 - 5) = m (-8 - 8)

-4 = m (-16)

m = 4/16 = 1/4

Plug m into the point-slope form equation as well as one of your points, and you have an equation.
