And the number of T-shirts sold = T

Equation for this situation will be,

5T + 8s = 560 -----(1)

Number of T-shirts sold are 4 times the shorts,

T = 4s ----- (2)

By substituting the value of T from equation (2) in equation (1),

5(4s) + 8s = 560

20s + 8s = 560

28s = 560

s = 20

From equation (2),

T = 4(20)

T = 80

Number of T-shirts sold = 80 and number of shorts sold = 20
