Explanation:

the vertex is where the axis of symmetry meets with the parabola.

The axis of symmetry is (-b)/(2a) which equals 0 because there is no linear x value

therefore,

y=3(0)^2-4

=-4

so the vertex is (0, -4)

to find the other points, list two x values larger than 0 and substitute into the equation to find y

list two x values smaller than 0 and substitute to find the points on the left of the vertex.
