Answer:

The enthalpy change of solution refers to the amount of heat that is released or absorbed during the dissolving process (at constant pressure). This enthalpy of solution ( ΔHsolution ) can either be positive (endothermic) or negative (exothermic).

WHILE The enthalpy of dissolution (ΔH) is the heat released or absorbed when a specified amount of a solute dissolves in a certain quantity of solvent at constant PRESSURE.

  • Enthalpy Change of Solution and Enthalpy change of dissolution can be said to be similar.
