Answer:

Explanation:

(1). The zero of the function f(x) = x + 3 is ( - 3 ). Why?

Because, f( - 3) = - 3 + 3 = 0

(2). The zero of the function f(x) = 2x - 10 is 5. Why?

Because, f( 5 ) = 2(5) - 10 = 0

(3). The zero of the function f(x) = x² - x - 6 are ( - 2 ) and 3. Why?

Because, f( - 2) = ( - 2)² - ( - 2) - 6 = 4 + 2 - 6 = 0

Because, f(3) = 3² - 3 - 6 = 9 - 9 = 0

Because if you plug in the value you can see that it adds up to 0 which defines the value of y. When you are finding the root y should always equal 0
