First , lets see what each of the above 5 terms refers:-
- Independent variable:- The variable that is changed or manipulated by the experimenter in a series of experiments.
- Dependent variable:- An outcome measured to see the effectiveness of the treatment.
- Control group:- (in an experiment) The group of test subjects left untreated or unexposed to some procedure and then compared with treated subjects in order to validate the results of the test.
- Experimental group:- The group in a clinical research study that receives the drug, vaccine, or other intervention being tested.
- Constant:- is a variable that is unchanged through time or space; permanent.
Thus, when we come to our question above
- Independent variable:- the daily injection of steroids.
- Dependent variable:- the results or the effect that have happened due to the injection of steroid.
- Control group:- the group of pigs that did not get the steroid injection.
- Experimental group:- the group of pigs that gets the steroid injection.
- Constant:-
- amount of steroid being injected to the experimental group.
- the species of the pigs.
- and also their age.
