The equation is,

→ 3y - 7(y + 5) = y - 35

Now the value of y will be,

→ 3y - 7(y + 5) = y - 35

→ 3y - 7y - 35 = y - 35

→ -4y - y = -35 + 35

→ -5y = 0

→ y = 0/-5

→ [ y = 0 ]

Hence, option (a) is correct.
