Now we know,


(x-x_(1) )/(x_(1)-x_(2) )= (y-y_(1))/(y_(1)-y_(2) )


(x-5)/(5-8)=(y-7)/(7-5)


(x-5)/(-3)=(y-7)/(2)


2x - 10 = -3y +21


3y = -2x +10 +21


3y = -2x + 31


y = (-2)/(3)x +(31)/(3)
