James Madison believed the delegates at the Constitutional Convention could keep the revised Articles of Confederation as the government of the nation.

Answer: False

In 1787, 57 delegates (including Madison) congregated in Philadelphia for the Constitutional Convention. Although the initial goal was to amend the Articles of Confederation, Madison (among others) favored a whole new document, aka the Constitution. In fact, Madison is known as the Father of the Constitution due to his contributions in creating the document.
