when you distribute a negtive to a fraction you would only put it on the top because you are multiplying by -1

in order to multiply fractions would put it over on so that its still the same number but you can multiply know if it was -1/-1 that would be postive 1 so its not = any more


( - 1)/( - 1) = 1

is not equal to the -1 we had before therefore making the answer he got wrong.
