Explanation:

Slope intercept form is y=mx+b, the m being slope and b being the y intercept. You already have the y intercept (7) so you don't have to do any math for that. To find m (slope) however, the formula is m=y2-y1/x2-x1. What this means is you're basically dividing the difference between the y's by the x's. You already have one point, (1,3) and because you know the y-intercept, the second point would be (0,7). Using the formula for m, we get m=7-3/0-1, m=4/-1, and our slope comes out to be -4. Now, we just plug everything into our equation, y=mx+b. Our m=-4, and b=7. Therefore our final answer is y=-4x+7.
