Please help me I've been stuck on this one question and I can't find the answer to it.

For four Fridays in June, Grace earned $21.50, $29.75, $32.00, and $15.25 from babysitting.

In July, she earned $8 more for babysitting four Fridays than she did in June.

What is the increase in the mean for July compared to June?

Round the answer to the nearest penny.

Answer:

$2

Explanation:

Its actually quite simple.

first find the mean for june.

add $21.50 + $29.75 + $32.00 + $15.25

that is equal to 98.5

then divide by 4.

that is 24.625

do not round to the nearest penny yet.

now you need to find the mean for july.

just add $8 to the total amount you made in june to find the total amount you made in july.

that is 106.5

then divide that by four because you worked four fridays in july as well.

that is 26.625.

finally you need to find the difference between 26.625 and 24.625.

26.625-24.625= 2

and ta-da!!!

the answer us $2.

your welcome. tell me if it is correct.
