Here shown, the base is 18cm and the height is 11cm. Don't be fooled by the 14cm for it is just the leg of a triangle not full height!!

18*11=198cm^2

2. Divide by two. We just caculated the area of the rectangle. Now we know a triangle is half of a rectangle's area so divide by 2!

198/2= 98cm^2
