The perimeter of a square is given by:

P=s+s+s+s

Where:

s = Length of one side

Add like terms:

P=4s

Since the perimeter is 6 meters, then:

\begin{gathered} P=6m \\ 6=4s \end{gathered}

Solve for s:

\begin{gathered} s=(6)/(4) \\ s=(3)/(2) \\ s=1.5m \end{gathered}
