Notice that:


\begin{gathered} 2=7-5, \\ 5=2+3, \\ 0=5-5, \\ 3=0+3, \\ -2=3-5, \\ 1=-2+3. \end{gathered}

Therefore, to compute the following terms we have to alternate between subtracting 5 and adding 3.

Then, the next number in the list is:


1-5=-4.

Answer: -4.
