Explanation:

This is a 3D version of the pythagorean theorem.

2D c = sqrt(a^2+b^2) or c^2 = b^2 + a^2

3D bar length = sqrt(FG^2 + BC^2 + FC^2)

so: sqrt(16^2 + 288 + 30^2) = 290
