we are given the following equation:

3x+2y=12

The slope-intercept form is the following:

y=mx+b

Therefore, we need to solve for "y" in the equation. To do that we will subtract "3x" to both sides:

\begin{gathered} 3x-3x+2y=12-3x \\ 2y=12-3x \end{gathered}

Now we will divide both sides by "2":

y=(12-3x)/(2)

Now we will separate the numerator:

y=(12)/(2)-(3)/(2)x

simplifying:

y=6-(3)/(2)x

And thus we get the slope-intercept form.
