Given the following question:

Point A = (-1, 4) = (x1, y1)

Point B = (0, 5) = (x2, y2)

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)
\begin{gathered} m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1) \\ m=(5-4)/(0--1)=(1)/(1)=1 \\ m=1 \end{gathered}

Now write in slope intercept form where...

\begin{gathered} y=mx+b \\ m=1 \\ y=4 \\ x=-1 \end{gathered}

Substitute to find b:

\begin{gathered} 4=1(-1)+b \\ 1*-1=-1 \\ \text{ +1 on both sides} \\ 4+1=5 \\ 5=b \\ b=5 \\ y=1x+5 \end{gathered}

b = 5

y intercept is (0, 5)

Now graph the following equation:
