A fish tank holds at most 125 gallons of water. The tank already has 20 gallons of water in when Ian begins to fill it at a rate of 8 gallons per minute

(a) Could Ian still be filling the tank after 15 minutes? Show how you found your answer.

(b) Let m be the number of minutes the tank has been filling. Use an inequality to find all values of m when the tank could be filling

No, and 7 minutes

Explanation:

1) Because if he fills at a constant rate the measure would be uneven if he adds 120 gallons.

2) It should be filled for 7 minutes before overflowing.
