1) To find the Volume of a pyramid, we need to resort to one formula:


V=(1)/(3)\cdot B_A\cdot h

2) Note that the base of this pyramid is a square whose area is given through this formula:


\begin{gathered} A=s^2 \\ A=5^2=25 \end{gathered}

Now that we know that the Base area is 25 in² then we can plug it into the formula for the Volume since the height is already known from the start.


\begin{gathered} V=(1)/(3)*25*9 \\ \\ V=(225)/(3) \\ \\ V=75\:in^3 \end{gathered}

Note that volumes are given in cubic units.
