Solution:

Given:

(1)/(12),(11)/(8)

The least common denominator is the smallest number of all the common multiples of the denominators when 2 or more fractions are given.

The denominators of the two fractions given are 12 and 8.

Hence, the least common denominator is gotten below;

\begin{gathered} 12=2*2*3 \\ 8=2*2*2 \\ The\text{ Least Common Denominator}=2*2*2*3 \\ The\text{ Least Common Denominator}=24 \end{gathered}

Therefore, the least common denominator is 24.
