Explanation:

Slope intercept form is y=mx+b

m: slope of the graph

b: the y intercept

The y intercept is the point where the kine crosses the y axis, in this case, it will be (0,-7)

The slope can be calculated by using the slope formula (Y2- Y1)/(X2 - X1)

Pick two points that are on the line, in this case I would be using (0,-7) and (2,-8)

Plug the respective points into the formula: (-8- (-7))/(2 - 0)

-8-(-7) is -1 and (2-0) is 2 so now, it is (-1)/(2) so the slope is -1/2
