Let

x ----> pounds of Havertine coffee

y ---> pounds of Jacobian coffee

we have that

x+y=7.5 -----> y=7.5-x -----> equation 1

9.50x+8y=8.60(7.5) -----> equation 2

Solve the system of equations

substitute equation 1 in equation 2

9.50x+8(7.5-x)=8.60(7.5)

therefore

The answer is the second option
